Advent Small Group Study

The season of Advent offers time and space for Christians to prepare for the coming of Jesus Christ at Christmas through reflecting on the story of salvation. In All the Good: A Wesleyan Way of Christmas, a group of diverse Wesleyan scholars will take you on a journey each week of Advent guided by the practices in John Wesley’s means of grace. Together we will look at preparing the way for God, the impact and significance of prayer, the substance of good works and caring for others, and sharing God’s mission to the world.

Set in the lovely, quirky heart of Wisconsin, The Coincidence of Coconut Cake is a charming love story of misunderstandings, mistaken identity, and the power of food to bring two people together.

If you are interested in joining the discussion, contact Sharon Welsh at stripers55@verizon.net for Zoom information.

Planning ahead, the next meeting of the book club will be Thursday, January 26, 2023 and the book we will be discussing is “The Last Flight” by Julie Clark.
